ISO 17100 is an international standard governing the quality of translation processes. First and foremost, it examines the qualifications of all parties involved in the processes and verifies that translators, proofreaders and project managers are academically qualified and have the level of expertise required for the specialist subjects their texts deal with. Moreover, the translation process and project management efficiency are both carefully scrutinised. To this end, various factors such as the application of terminology or compliance with certain specifications all work towards accomplishing one overarching objective: achieving the best possible results for the customer.
